Counseling Intern

Counseling interns are master's-level students who are available to provide in-person individual and group counseling to VSC clients twice a week. Interns complete intakes with clients, conduct individual and group sessions with clients, take crisis hotline shifts, and participate in weekly supervision. Interns must be available to intern the whole academic year. Interns must have access to a vehicle to get intern to and from Montgomery County’s hospitals and courts.

Training Requirements

65 Hour Sexual Assault Counselor/Victim Advocate Training

Clearances 

FBI, Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background
None

Time Commitment 

2 full days in office per week is the minimum, hours should be flexible to meet evening time slots
