Get tickets, see sponsorship opportunities and see this year's honorees 2 days to the event Rooted in Care: 2026 Leadership & Matty Muir Awards Sun, Jun 14 William Penn Inn Join us for an elegant brunch benefiting VSC Details Honoring Noah Marlier MONTGOMERY COUNTY PROTHONOTARY VSC Leadership Award Recipient Noah Marlier is the elected Montgomery County Prothonotary, leading the office that processes civil legal filings for the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. One of these filings is Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders. His previous advocacy experience, including working with the James Madison University’s sexual assault prevention group “1 in 4,” training Malawian teachers about gender equity in the classroom as a Peace Corps volunteer, and prosecuting domestic violence and sex crimes as a Montgomery County assistant district attorney, has fueled his current office initiatives to raise awareness about physical and sexual violence and provide survivor support. Noah helped spearhead the implementation of an electronic PFA packet to allow domestic violence survivors to start the PFA petition process from anywhere with an internet connection. He also introduced Pennsylvania’s first Hope Card program, which provides survivors with a credit-card-sized document that supplements their final PFA order. He travels the County, speaking to the community about these office resources. Committed to helping the community through his work, Noah’s also a vocal advocate on landlord-tenant matters and the eviction crisis, and LGBTQ+ rights. He lives in Springfield, Montgomery County, with his family. Ann Cornell VSC SUPPORTER Matty Muir Award Recipient Ann Cornell is the Outreach and Communications Director for the Montgomery County Prothonotary’s Office. She previously worked in the local journalism field and private sector communications before taking on her current role in 2022. Abuse thrives in shame and silence, so throughout the years she’s worked in her professional capacity to open the conversation about domestic and sexual violence and how to support survivors. In the Prothonotary’s Office, that entails sharing information about the Protection from Abuse filing process and the advocacy organizations’ services in our region. Ann also maintains ongoing collaborations with her colleagues and outside organizations – including Victim Services Center – to ensure the office continues to provide trauma-informed spaces and practices. Jessica Curci FORENSIC NURSE EXAMINER COORDINATOR FOR MAIN LINE HEALTH Matty Muir Award Recipient Jessica has been a registered nurse since 2012 and has a wide range of experience, including pediatric nursing, intensive care nursing, pre- and post-anesthesia, and forensic nursing, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, elder abuse, child abuse, and strangulation. She has been working as a Forensic Nurse Examiner since 2021. Jessica holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a certified SANE-A and a certified advanced forensic nurse. Jessica's passion for forensic nursing includes providing inclusive, trauma-informed care for all patient populations, addressing secondary trauma and stress first aid among forensic nurses, and fostering professional growth and quality care in forensic nursing. Jessica enjoys reading, crafting, and hiking. She can also be found practicing circus arts like trapeze and handstands in her downtime.
