Job Description
I. Generic Description
PROJECT MANAGER
Full Time - 40 hours/week
Salary - competitive
Start Date - March 4, 2024
This position reports directly to the collaborative partners or Executive Directors of the project.
The individual hired must be conversant in American Sign Language and knowledgeable about Deaf culture. Individual is required to demonstrate experience in managing a project with internal and external stakeholders from start to finish. Individual must demonstrate an ability to deal with strict deadlines while also embracing the necessity of flexibility.
II. SPECIFIC DUTIES
This position is responsible for the following:
A. Plan and develop a needs assessment with community members and organizations serving their needs.
B. Conduct needs assessment.
C. Prepare a strategic plan report using results of the needs assessment.
D. Prepare project policies and procedure in collaboration with project experts.
E. Prepare resources and facilitate resource sharing among collaborative partners.
F. Plan and design meetings to promote transparency and resource sharing
G. Organize work/focus groups.
H. Implement the strategic goals and objectives.
I. Evaluate how the collaboration is doing on an on-going basis.
J. Prepare project reports for submission to OVW.
K. Attend OVW meetings and trainings.
L. As needed, arrange for interpreters/accommodations for project deliverables.
M. On a regular basis, update collaborative partners as to project status.
N. Identify critical data points and maintain throughout the lifetime of the project.
III. GENERAL

Prepares reports on all activities as required.

Special projects or other activities as required.

Assures compliance and implements appropriate portions of strategic plan.

Adheres to the vision, mission, and policies of the agencies and OVW standards.
IV. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Must know American Sign Language. Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Criminal Record, Child Abuse History and FBI Clearance background checks required. Valid drivers’ license, vehicle and valid automobile insurance required. EOE

HIRING AND EVALUATION
The Project Manager is hired and evaluated collaboratively by the Executive Directors of the project.
