About The Event

A culturally responsive approach to victim service delivery can significantly enhance the services and support provided to LGBTQ+ victims of crime. This training will help participants increase their understanding of common terms and identities within the LGBTQ+ community. Participants will also identify culturally responsive resources and learn ways to minimize barriers to seeking services.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Define and discuss language and terms used when working with the LGBTQ+ community
  • List at least one culturally responsive resource for LGBTQ+ victims of crime.
  • Identify two strategies to remove barriers to services for LGBTQ+ victims of crime.

This is a free training sponsored by the Office for Victims of Crime.
