Mary Onama, LMSW, Executive Director
Mary Onama has been executive director of Victim Services Center of Montgomery County since 1998. A licensed social worker, she has extensive experience in social services delivery and management. She served as Assistant Director of Social Services at Lincoln Hospital, Bronx, New York and also as Director of Child Protective Services for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in New York, as well as other social service agencies. A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mary earned a BA in Social Work and English and then went on to earn her Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. She has an extensive background in social services administration and clinical services in New York and Pennsylvania. Mary is the past President of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) Board of Directors, Chair of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC). Mary serves on the Montgomery County Victim Witness Policy Board, Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth Citizens Advisory and the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Center known as Mission Kids.
